Benjamin Phoon is a concert violinist and violist known for combining emotional

His playing is recognized for its rich tone, lyrical phrasing, and the ability to connect deeply with audiences across diverse musical settings.

COLLABORATION
His career bridges classical music with contemporary media and entertainment, featuring major concerts, television productions, and international collaborations with artists including Shila Amzah, Shila Majid, Ella Aminuddin, 羅子溢, 王敏奕, Alan Tam (谭咏麟), Yuna, 叮当 Della, Gary Chaw (曹格), and Richard Clayderman, among others. His appearances also include major productions such as the The Voice Grand Final, Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL), and Dewa 19 – A Night at the Orchestra, and more…
He has also performed at distinguished national and international events, including appearances at Istana Negara, performances for Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Mahathir
Mohamad, as well as major corporate and cultural events for organizations such as PETRONAS.

INTERNATIONAL STAGE
Since 2022, Benjamin has been a member of the Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra
(MPO). He has performed internationally at venues such as Singapore Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, The Star Theatre, Hong Kong City Hall, and festivals including the Miyakojima International Music Festival and Silpakorn Summer Music Festival.
In Summer 2025, he presented a solo recital in Köpenick, Berlin, and served as Section Leader at the Berlin Opera Academy. His orchestral and solo performances continue to expand his presence across Asia and Europe.

PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE
Benjamin has appeared across major broadcast and prestigious stages, including performances on TV8, TV1, RTM2, Huahee Astro, CMG Astro, and NTV Japan Television. He has also performed for royal and state events at Istana Negara, Istana Putrajaya, Istana Alam Shah and more…
His concert appearances include performances at Axiata Arena and private events such as Dato Eng House, showcasing his work across broadcast media, royal functions, and international concert platforms.
